I've been in every real estate market since the early 80's. I've seen double-digit mortgage rates and periods when mortgages were just not available. We had a sizable downturn from an overheated market a couple of years ago. What we've been going through lately is a return to normalcy.

I'd say things in Asheville are good and gradually getting even better.

So, don't be afraid of the this market. Sellers still (have to, or want to) sell. Buyers still (have to, or want to) buy.

Mortgage rates are in the middle 6's and trending down.
